Living with loss
LIVING WITH LOSS: Grief made it harder to do everything – eat, think, remember, move, talk. I stopped focusing on the future and what life would look like without Dad because it became too overwhelming.
HOW I COPED: I took each moment one at a time. Living in the moment allowed me to stay grounded in the present and tackle each painful challenge as it came. I also joined a bereavement group for people who had lost parents which served as a wonderful group for me to tap into for empathetic support and counsel.
